Introduction

This document discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for Artemis Enterprises, LLC (“Artemis”) as they apply to the Artemis software, and the website www.artemisinfo.com.

What We Do

Artemis Enterprises, LLC offers products and services that help our customers quickly locate, access, organize and update their business contact information for use in the office or on the road. We know that you’re concerned with privacy on the Internet, and we’ve taken several steps to help safeguard your online information and to protect your privacy and that of your business partner contacts.

Artemis is a service that allows our subscribers’ to update their own personnel contact and business information for the purpose of sharing it with their designated business partners. Subscribing to the Artemis Service feature gives Artemis permission to email subscribers’ contacts requesting that they update their information. Recipients of this query email may be presented with an opportunity to become Artemis users themselves.

Artemis electronically aggregates the update requests from all its subscribers so that updaters will only receive one update request periodically regardless of how many business partner subscribers are in the system. Recipients of update request emails are given the opportunity to opt out of receiving further such emails, at the places that they are asked to update or correct contact information.

If you update your information as requested, you authorize Artemis to share your updated information with Artemis subscribers who previously held your contact information. Updates are communicated back only to business partners who previously held your contact information.

Security

Artemis collects and stores data on our secure servers. Your data is stored in a secure environment that is not available to the public. Your Artemis account is password-protected for your privacy and security. We use industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions. Artemis provides unique usernames and passwords that must be entered each time a subscriber or updater logs on. This helps prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure appropriate use of data.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

If we change our privacy policy, we will post a notice of the change on our homepage, so you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use information in a manner not stated above, we will notify you via email or by posting a prominent notice on our web site 30 days prior to implementing the change. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner.
